Seminar with Dr. Helmut Raiser July 26
Oahu Working Dog Club was fortunate to host Dr. Helmut Raiser on July 26, 2026, for a full day at our training field in Hawaiʻi, USA. We thank Dr. Raiser for working tirelessly during his time with us, including going beyond his scheduled time commitment to continue sharing his knowledge well into the night. Our club received expert-level presentations and instruction on training theory and working dog development.
Some highlights of the day included observation and coaching during our obedience training sessions, guidance for club members looking to further develop their training skills, and a presentation on training theory and tracking. In obedience, Dr. Raiser’s technical advice was precise and made an immediate impact on both dog and handler performance. Throughout the day, he clearly explained the reasoning behind his methods, giving members the opportunity to understand the “why” through questions, discussion, and hands-on practice. Learning from someone with decades of worldwide experience was truly a special opportunity for our club.
Dr. Raiser’s passion and expertise are impressive and unmatched. He was gracious enough to answer every question we had, and our members appreciated the opportunity to continue conversations with him over a shared meal.
Oahu Working Dog Club formally thanks Dr. Helmut Raiser for his generosity, dedication, and willingness to share his knowledge. We look forward to welcoming him back again in the future.
